ring my bell

I went to a record shop in Manhattan 3 years ago and asked the seller "Do you have Ring My Bell?"
He looked down at me and said We don't sell it here.You have to find that type of music in other shop..............hahahahahahahaha Is that mean i got bad taste ummmmmmmm
